Designed and supported a process to decentralise the HR function to the operating divisions and develop a new approach for line managers and personnel professionals to prepare business-driven HR strategies and objectives (variously for an Engineering Company, a Central Bank and a Merchant Bank).
Change in Culture
Helped change the organisation-wide organisation, skills and behaviour of the management and staff in preparation for a dramatic reduction in funding and a move out of civil service management towards a private sector culture.
Management Style
Worked with a new contractor consortium of three groups who had not worked together before to develop a consistent management style. Developed and supported the implementation of a "bottom-up" organisation change process using empowerment techniques to challenge outdated work practices in the organisation they had taken over.

Worked closely with the partners to identify the partner behaviours that were holding back the development and growth of the business and provided coaching support to individuals and groups who wanted to change.

Helped raise the management and leadership capabilities at all levels in a number of organisations. Used assessment centres, personal coaching and team building in natural work groups around current business issues to challenge existing assumptions about how to bring about change (variously in a consumer services group, fmcg company, entrepreneurial financial services company, and an energy corporation).

Helped review success and reasons for failure, and developed appropriate corrective strategies.
Shortening Lead Time
Advised and supported a management team in applying business process redesign to reduce the development period of new products from four years to less than two.
Supply Chain Relationship
Worked with two teams from a manufacturer and a user group to decide upon and then to establish the working relationships they intended to employ during the proposed twenty plus years of the project's life.
Outsourced Contract Service Levels
Developed, applied and supported a process to ensure that the services provided under an outsourcing agreement fulfilled both the contract terms and the needs of the users (variously with manufacturing, financial services, and consumer services organisations).
