What we do Our approach Areas of expertise |
We have a wide area of expertise and experience. For example, we help with:
Strategic direction
We help leadership teams to articulate more clearly the direction they wish the business to take.
We establish clarity and build agreement around the purpose, vision, values, strategic goals, success criteria and key priorities. We ensure the needs of the stakeholders are identified and addressed and we develop and support programmes to bring about the necessary changes.
Organisation effectiveness
We assess how effective an organisation is now at fulfilling its purpose and goals and how effective it needs to be to meet the future.
We look at the reasons behind that effectiveness and help develop strategies for improvement.
We support senior executives in implementing the improvement programme.
Leadership
We help chief executives and leadership teams develop management styles that are appropriate to meeting the business challenge and to working together most effectively. We help them understand how their behaviour affects not only their own performance but also that of their team and the rest of the organisation. We work with them to develop more effective styles and support them putting it into practice.
We help improve leadership and management processes and capabilities and encourage the development of values into practical behaviour.
Business transformation
We design and support change programmes around major business transformations.
These may be driven by a period of poor performance, a change in the regulatory environment, the move to e-business applications or large-scale systems change, such as ERP or outsourcing.
We help leadership teams re-think the core purpose of their business and review their assumptions about managing the organisation in the light of the new situation.
Involvement and engagement
We work to engage management, work force or other stakeholder groups in pursuit of common goals. Where necessary we find out what is hindering complete engagement and propose strategies to deal with that.
We design, implement and support communication strategies that are based on realistic assessments of the needs and expectations both of the communicators and those to whom communication is addressed.
Capability and confidence
In all our projects we have two goals: to resolve the issue that brought the client to us in the first place, and to work along side them so that they develop the capability and confidence to continue and extend the improvement process themselves into the future.
Expectations management
We help identify the needs and expectations of all groups who have a legitimate call on the services and resources of the organisation.
We work to incorporate those needs into the strategic goals of the organisation and to educate those stakeholder groups in the reasonable limits to those expectations.
Processes and relationships
We help simplify and integrate processes that stretch across functional boundaries and seamlessly into suppliers and customers.
We help develop the governance processes and behaviours that enable these relationships to work successfully.
We also mediate should those relationships come under strain and facilitate recovery.
